The Tango for Microeconomic Reform was written for an edition of tangos commissioned by Opus Press, Hobart under the title The Keating Tangos. The work was originally written for the music theatre work The Last Supper (1992) and has been arranged for diverse instrumentations such as trombone trio. Versions for soprano saxophone and alto saxophones are also available.
